We're artists

We tap our creative potentials

In poetry, music, comedy, .........

To entertain

Those who are fun fans

To educate

Those who are keen in learning

To restore hope

In those who have emerged hopeless

To praise or remind those in authority

About what is right or wrong

But we're given secondary recognition

And some of us struggle to gain audience

At least a singer gives a grin of the fortunate

Music is like bright light

It penetrates even the darkest corners

Throbbing in the dwellings of the literate and illiterate

But a poet gives a frown of displeasure

Poetry is like a white collar job

It confines itself to the literate and schools

Yet not all care

Leaving poets in a scare 

Messages may not reach target audiences
