THE CORNERED LAMB | Masela Samuel | 08-10-2022 - 09:50
Oh
I'm left helpless
A deserted new born lamb
Under the mercy of hungry hyenas
Remember, Mr. Monkey can't be a fair judge
In a case involving clearing the forest
Oh
They're eating me up alive
Mercilessly tearing me apart
Greedily sharing my entrails when I see
Oh
My only hope, my saviour
What went wrong?
Why did you abandon me?
Leaving me to witness my own death
Oh
These hyenas are ruthless, heartless
They're scattering my flesh, my skeleton
Wielding their irreverend teeth
Banging them as they claim shares of me
I know you won't find me breathing
You won't get anything left of me
I'm dying slowly and painfully
Actually, before I realise the pain
I shall have died, thoroughly finished!
