Oh, man!
Have you forgotten the livelihood
You derive from me?
Don't cut the branch
You are sitting on!
Why do you treat me
Like your co - wife?
No, No, No, indeed No!
You're sufficiently endowed
With insufficient mercy on me
You introduce me to all wraths
You defile and rape me
You destroy all cover, my protection
But nurture less or none
You suffocate me with heaps of plastic
Under whose weight l groan desperately
But attract only nobody's attention
You torment me in urban areas more
Not saving my existence in rural areas
You banned polythene bags with the left
But returned them with the right
Ruining my productivity right, left and center
Posing a danger to terrestrial and marine life
Culminating in threatening you yourself
If you are to promote co - existence
Do what can restore my dying glory
Scratch my back, l shall scratch yours
